High Museum of Art:
The Lost World: The Art of Minnie Evans.
Minnie Evans once said her drawings of harmoniously intertwined human, botanical, and animal forms came from visions of "the lost world," or nations destroyed by the Great Flood as described in the Book of Genesis. After her grandmother died in 1934 and the visions she experienced in childhood became stronger, Evans produced a large body of work ranging from abstract to representational styles. More than one hundred of her artworks are presented in a range of contexts, from the extrasensory experiences of her visions to the double-edged realities of her life in the Jim Crow South. Her drawings, beautiful and complex, thus become portals into her "lost world."
Morris Museum of Art:
Steeped in Folklore: Recent Paintings by Reynier Llanes
In this exhibition Reynier Llanes continues his artistic exploration of nature and daily life with a mystical and imaginative elegance. Drawing from his own memories and experiences as an artist, emigre, and immigrant as well as his studies of literature, history, and science, he invites viewers into the unique dreamworlds of his creation. His explorations of transitions - personal and societal, physical and spiritual - communicate with great sensitivity and empathy the common threads we share as humans. Inspired by artists who came before him, he aspires to create and make his own statement while encouraging and inspiring younger artists who, like him, seek to express the ineffable through art.
Old Fort Jackson:
Old Fort Jackson is a National Historic Landmark in Savannah offering daily cannon firings and interactive programs for adults, kids, and families. It features historical weapons demonstrations and interactive programming for families. Daily cannon firings occur at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Now, you can explore the refurbished museum complex and experience multimedia presentations, exciting exhibits, and unparalleled views of the marsh.

Davina Semo 'A Gathering of Bells'
For millennia, bells have organized society by tolling to mark the hours, calling communities to assemble, clanging alarms of danger, and ringing in momentous occasions. These cultural connotations are made even more multivalent by the many shapes and styles bells have taken over the centuries. Now through Jan. 4, 2026
